<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"><a href="http://www.mile-posts.com/">Mile Posts</a></span> </td></tr></tbody></table><b>I survived! </b> Being the wife of a high school band director you just have to expect that he is going to be out at least two or three nights a week. Whether it is marching band rehearsal, jazz band rehearsal, a band parents meeting or a concert, there is always something going on and it really never seems to die down. The worst time is when it is musical time, that is when it gets crazy. I really shouldn't complain because it only happens once a year but it is a LONG week when it does. He is out of the house, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and then following weekend Friday and Saturday! So it just makes a long week of work, dinner, homework, baths and bedtime with only one set of hands. Which also means that it makes it near impossible to go running unless I go in the morning and lately I just can't get up. It is so cozy in my bed and so darn dark out. So this weeks recap is not really that exciting. <div><br />

</div><div>One of Ashley's favorite things to do is to dance. When she is cranky and won't let me put her down I put on music and we dance. She loves it! I love to spin her and see the biggest and most beautiful smile around. For those of you didn't know I used to do Zumba all the time. I even taught classes. Needless to say I love to dance too! One of the things that I noticed really fast after stopping Zumba was my love handles were back. So whenever we have a dance party I make sure to do some moves that I know hit my waistline. I am hoping that I can work that waistline while dancing with my kids. Tonight we had a full blown dance party, Mom, Dad, Jeremy, Ian and Ashley dancing all over the living room. I always wonder if people can see us through the big window and if they can, I wonder what they are thinking. I hope that we are making them think out loud, perhaps saying wow those people are really having a good time because although it might look like we are crazy I love our family dance parties and even the multiple games of freeze dance, which the boys love. </div><div><br />

A lot of people were interested in finding out how long they could hold a plank. So I thought that I would put up a chart that I am going to do for the next month.(I found in on the web...just changed the dates.) If you want to join me that would be great. There isn't going to be a prize but your bathing suit and summer clothes just might fit a little better and I am sure that you will be feeling stronger. <div>
Each week I will update my progress on my weekly recap post (usually Monday). I hope that you will update how you are doing as well by posting a comment. I am hoping that the more people that are doing this the more likely I and you will stick with it. I am not going to lie...this looks tough. 1. Being the tooth fairy is scary! Jeremy lost his first tooth tonight. He pulled it out!! When I went in to play the tooth fairy I was so afraid that Jeremy was going to wake up when I was putting the money under his pillow. And then I had to get the tooth out from under the pillow! I can't wait to see his face in the morning. He got five quarters. I figured that was way cooler than a dollar. I chose five because he is five!! <br />
2. Planks. I have been seeing challenges on blogs that I read, on Pinterest and other places. I know that I need to start working on my core and abs because I know that in the long run it will help my running. I also found out that I am going to be able to spend more time in Disney over April vacation (long story which will come after the trip) so I am making a commitment to work my abs and do planks from today until we go to Disney which is is exactly 30 days away! Right now I can hold my plank for 1:10. I also tried to do 300 abs. It was really hard. I also found a mean abs chart on Pinterest so I am going to do that too! I am hoping I will see some kind of difference before we leave for Disney!<br />
3. Chips! I love chips. I started eating Utz Sour Cream and Onion chips when I was pregnant with Ashley and basically I haven't stop since. I usually eat a whole bag each week while I watch tv. I try to only eat the chips on days that I run. I need to cut down on these chips. I want to say that I won't eat them at all but I can't say that. I usually don't worry about what I eat. I just eat. But I think I might need to cut down a little bit on my chip addiction. <br />
4. Nine mile run tomorrow. I looking forward to running since I never did get to run this week. I am also looking forward to sleeping in. All week Dave and I have been getting up late. So I better not wake up early tomorrow. <br />

I guess I don't have any more randomness. I sure I will think of something as soon as I post this but I will save that for another day.<br />

As I left work to pick up all three kids it was pouring. The kind of rain that sucks when you have pick up kids and put them in carseats.<br />
First stop was to pick up the boys! Not too bad!<br />
Next stop was the grocery store with the boys. It was raining cats and dogs when got there. We got out and I swear that I closed the door. I drive a minivan and I love it. Number one reason why, my automatic doors. So easy. However today they let me down. I guess I didn't press the button or something because when we came back to car after splashing in all the big puddles, we found a huge puddle in Ian's carseats. I am not exaggerating. Needless to say he wasn't happy to get in he seat. I dried it out with a sweater that I left in the car but it really didn't do much. I wrestled Ian into the seat as I stood outside the car. At this point I was totally soaked and had a screaming kid in a very wet seat!<br />
From there I got Ashley! Again getting wet as I put her in the car! At this point I didn't even care.<br />

We were all loaded into a very wet car and went home! Ian did calm down but said that he was VERY wet.<br />
I got everything inside including the carseat.<br />

This is me after the adventure. The picture doesn't really show you how wet I was. I had rain dripping from my glasses and my hair was so wet in the back that I could have gotten out the hairdryer and dried my hair!<br />
The running from the rain part stops there but my crazy afternoon doesn't. I came home to had had an accident and threw up! She has diabetes. So sad!<br />

I did finish off my crazy afternoon by spending an evening with a great friend. We made yummy stuffed peppers!<br />
<br />
It might seems that I am complaining. I am not. I love my kids and someday I know I will miss standing in the rain buckling them into their seat. <br />
It seems funning that even though I didn't get to run today I still did run. Just not the way that I had planned. I was planning on getting up early run however I didn't! Not because I laid in bed and was too lazy to get up because usually I end up getting up because I know that I will be mad at myself. I didn't even have the chance to think about it because I woke up so late. I will see how tomorrow goes!! I am hoping to run tomorrow morning. Better stop doing this and go to bed!<br />

This week is going to be hard because it is challenge week aka hell week for Dave and the play at his high school, which means that he has rehearsal every night from Sunday to Sunday! The poor kids hardly get to see daddy this week. Because Dave isn't home at all after work that means I have to get up before school to run. Yes, I can do that but this week is the week that we loose an hour of sleep which means that I am super tired and my kids are tired and the kids at school are tired. But I am going to try my hardest which is why I am going to quickly wrap this up, lay out my clothes for running and get to bed, after cleaning the kitchen after folding and putting away laundry. <br />

This is the plan for the week ahead:<br />

I set two alarms for 3 am and went to sleep. I did sleep until about 2:15. Then I laid in bed tossing and turning and at about 2:50, I got up, shut off the alarms and started getting ready. I left my room about 3:15 to get the bus at 3:30. I sat next to a women you was running her first Princess Half Marathon as well. We chatted the whole way to Epcot. I think that we go to the parking lot about 3:45. <span id="goog_205263913"></span><span id="goog_205263914"></span><br />

I hung out with my new friend Sarah, in the parking lot for a while. There were lots of people, a DJ blasting music and excitement in the air. I was feeling confident and really wasn't worried. I was ready to run. <br />

It didn't seem long before they announced that people needed to start walking to the corrals. They sent corrals A-C first...that was me. I was in corral A! I showed my proof of time at the Expo and they moved me from E to A! I was super intimated being in corral A but I think now I am happy that I was in A. <br />
<br />
I knew that it was a walk to the corrals. <a href="http://mickeymiles.podbean.com/">The Mickey Miles Podcast</a> told me that it was going to be a 20 minute walk to the corrals and yes it was. It was really cool to walk and check out what it was like behind the walls of Epcot. I didn't see much at all but I still thought it was cool. Sarah and I split up when we got to the corrals. I walked to corral A. Everybody was excited, dressed up and ready to run. Time did seem to pass quickly. I think is was because there was so much people watching that could be done. I did see, <a href="http://throughheatherslookingglass.com/">Heather</a> whose blog I read daily walk up towards the start line. I wanted to yell, "Hey, there is Heather" but I didn't! After that it just seemed like it was time to start. The Fairy Godmother got us started and at 5:35 we were off, fireworks and all!!<br />
The minute I started running I knew that I was going to need to go to the bathroom but I so didn't want too. I think that the first couple of miles I spent thinking about going to the bathroom so finally I pulled off and used a port a potty which were basically everywhere. After the bathroom I was ready to run and just kept on going. There were places to stop and talk pictures plus volunteers cheering us on. I was excited to see the toll booths welcoming us to the magic kingdom.<br />

It is a long way from the toll booths to the actual Magic Kingdom! I kind of forgot how far it was but I just kept on going. <br />

Then it happened...the most magical moment of the whole race. Making the turn into the actual Magic Kingdom. The first thing I noticed was that I could smell yummy food from Tony's Town Square. I thought that was a little strange to smell food at 6:30 but that was quickly a forgotten thought because there is was, Main Street. Main Street was filled with spectators cheering and waiting to see their loved ones run up the street. This was a totally amazing feeling. Absolutely the most amazing feeling I have ever felt in a race before. I tried really hard to take it slow, again some more words of wisdom from <a href="http://mickeymiles.podbean.com/">The Mickey Miles Podcast</a>, I remember Michelle (I think) saying that she walked down Main Street so she could really remember it. I did ask some random person to take my picture so I could really remember it. Here it is, my favorite picture from the race. <br />

After running up Main Street I immediately knew that I wanted to do that again. Yes, there will be another <a href="http://www.rundisney.com/">runDisney</a> race!! While I was running in the Magic Kingdom I stopped to take pictures with the characters and in front of the castle. <br />

After leaving the Magic Kingdom and another bathroom stop, I was ready to get to the finish line. I didn't find the course to be overly crowded. There were people always running near me but I hardly felt like people were in my way. There were just a few times when I felt boxed in but I was easily able to get around. The run back to Epcot was fine, nothing too exciting. I did stop one more time to take a picture with an solider. (I thought the boys would think that was cool!) I was feeling really good. I wanted to pick up the pace once I got into Epcot but I didn't know how far I had left so I just keep going. I guess though I did pick up the pace a bit. Crossing the finish line was great. I was so happy to see Royal Mickey and Minnie. A perfect ending to a wonderful race. Even better the medal...so fancy!!!</div>

Here I am after running 13.1 miles in 2:26:35! I really was feeling great! Tired but happy!!!<br />

I met up with my parents, got some apparel at the <a href="http://www.rundisney.com/">runDisney</a> merchandise tent and celebrated my accomplishment.<br />

From there I got my bus back to my resort. <br />
This was a great race. So much fun! <br />

Yes, I am obsessed with Disney but this race is yet another reason why I am love going to Disney all the time. It is plan and simple, Disney never lets me down. <br />
<br />
Now all I can think about is when my next <a href="http://www.rundisney.com/">runDisney</a> race will be. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will be Marathon Weekend 2014!<br />

I had a great FAST 4 miles outside yesterday! I didn't even need to bundle up that much! I feel like spring is in the air, however this is what the weather man says:<br />

I have been so busy grading papers...report cards are due on Monday, that the Princess Half Recap is on hold but I am hoping that tomorrow night I will start working on it. I am excited to share all the the race. <br />

Okay so it has been forever since I have posted anything. The reason-The Princess Half Marathon! More on that later. <br />

The week of February 18 I was home for winter vacation. Dave only had Monday and Tuesday off. It was also the week before the Princess Half marathon. I didn't run too much over the week. I did the following:<br />
<br />
Tuesday: 2.66<br />
Wednesday: 4.12<br />
Thursday: Rest-Spent the day with the boys eating pizza and going to the Peabody Museum. <br />
Friday: Travel Day<br />
Saturday: 2.12<br />
Sunday: Princess Half Marathon 13.36 miles<br />
I will tell you all about the race someday this week.<br />
<br />
This week I really didn't do much running at all! I ran one day.<br />
Saturday: 3.44<br />
<br />
Total Miles these two weeks: 25.7<br />
Total Miles this year: 154.11 miles<br />
<br />
I really didn't run much this week for two reasons: I was so tired from the short trip to Disney, running the race on Sunday morning with a 3 am wake up call, then traveling the same day and not getting home until 12:45 in the morning. It was also back to work and had to work a full week, which I haven't done in forever because of all of the snow days!! (That was one reason with many factors!) The other reason is on Wednesday I hurt my knee walking into school, not running, walking! <br />
When I ran on Saturday it felt okay but I didn't want to over do it! I was planning on running today, Sunday, but I decided that I would give my knee another day to rest because it was feeling much better. I will ice it again tonight! <br />
In the mean time:<br />
I signed up for another race, which is in 5 weeks. I am just going to take the same training plan and start on week 6 and I will be all ready for my next half. Half number 5!<br />

WIth the kids we have been playing hide n seek and freeze dance party. These kids just get cooler by the day! I am so lucky! </span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Dave made this for me, with a little help from his step mom, she made the letters with her cricket! I wanted something to hang my medals on but I didn't want to spend money considering I only have two medals as of today! Dave used an old wood plague that I had hanging in my room when I was little. He sanded and painted it white. He bought the hooks for cheap at Home Depot. I know that it is bare now but by the end of the year it will have many more medals. We hung it in the hallway that brings us downstairs, so I will see it just about everyday! It will be great motivation. </span><br />

I have run a marathon before so Disney wouldn't be my first marathon but it would be my first in many years. So here is my question: </span><br />

It has been warmer this week so the snow has melted a bit, but the piles are still about 1 foot to a foot and a half high. It really wasn't bad when the cars would drive by. I didn't feel squished like I thought I was going to feel. </span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I also realized that I have been by myself without kids for over a week!!! Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I was home with my three wonderful kids due to the Blizzard and then Thursday and Friday it was back to school. Don't get me wrong. I love my kids and I love being a teacher. ( Well this is kind of a lie because I forgot that I did do some runs on the treadmill and ran to the store and doctor by myself!) However today's run is a reminder of why I love to run. It gives me my me time. Having a 5, 4 and 1 year I don't get much me time. Maybe when I take a shower but most of the time that is interrupted. Of course at school I get my preps and lunch but I always have WAY too much to do that I never just sit and get a moment of peace. Again this is why I have fallen in love with running. </span><br />

Running Solo vs. Running with people<br />
Not really sure about this one. I think that I would like to find a running buddy however I don't always want to run with someone because then I don't get my me time. <br />

What to pack:<br />
I am leaving for Florida on Friday in the very early hours of the morning. I haven't really even thought about what I am going to pack, or what I am going to wear for the half. I really need to get started on this.<br />
<br />
Warmer Weather:<br />
I can't wait to run in Florida. The weather is going to be warmer. I have really done a great job running through these cold months. I never thought that I would stick to it but I did! Go Me!!<br />
<br />
Eating and Drinking:<br />
I need to drink more water!!! Let me repeat that, I need to drink more water!!!!!!!! <br />
<br />
Okay I had so many more thoughts but now I can't remember them and I have been invaded by the kids. I hardly write these last sentences. Oh again...I have fallen in love with running because it gives me my me time and yes I love my kids and would do anything for them but I do need my me time so I am ready to pulled in all the directions that they pull my in...get my an envelope, get me lunch...I want cereal and the crying of a waking Ashley is calling my as well as the shower. <br />
Off to be a mommy, who has had her five miles of me time for the day. <br />

I am really hoping that we will be back in school tomorrow and Friday and then we have a whole week off for Feb. vacation. I feel like I haven't been to school in forever! </span><br />

I would say that we had about 30 inches of snow fall. <br />
This past week kind of sucked for the whole running thing. During the week I just couldn't seem to get my runs in. But this weekend I kind of made up for it!<br />

Friday-SNOW DAY! I got up early and was ready to go running before the snow started...that however didn't happen. As soon as I was getting my gear ready and on it started to snow. Not hard but it was snowing. I headed out not knowing how far I would go. I knew that I at least wanted to go 4 and was really happy when I ended up going 7.1. I know that all this running is really paying off because 7 miles seemed so easy!!! Even though it was running and I basically had to look at my feet for the whole run I had a great run. By the time I got home there was about an inch or so on the ground. <br />

Sunday...11 plus miles on the treadmill!!! I ran 11 miles on a treadmill and I have to say it wasn't so bad, I just did it. I tried not to think about it I just put the treadmill on 6 MPH and went. I don't know exactly how far I went but I could figure out that I at least went 11. Here is what happened. I was wiping my face when I lost my balance and I shut the treadmill off with the safety. When I turned it back on it didn't show how far I had gone and I couldn't remember exactly what time I started running. I knew that it was sometime between 12:20 and 12:40. I texted Dave at 12:41 to tell him that the plows were coming, which was really exciting because we had been plowed in for over 24 hours. So to figure that I at least ran 11 miles because I stopped running at 2:25 so if I started at 12:35 and went o 2:25 that would be 11 miles. I can't believe how great I felt. <br />

Monday-SNOW DAY!! My run today was a recovery run of 3 miles but I ended up doing 5.1!! I was again on the treadmill. I don't know when I will ever be able to get back out there and run outside. The piles of snow are so high and the roads are still not good. I am hoping by this weekend I will get back outside but the weather forecast doesn't look good. <br />

However all I did was organize the papers that I needed to be graded. That was all that I did. Tonight I did read and grade some stories. SUCCESS!!<br />

In terms of running I didn't! I have this DUMB cold and I didn't sleep again last night. :( The plan was go get up early and run. 4 miles isn't a long run but to run 4 miles before work is long, especially when I am home with the kids after school by myself. It just makes for a LONG day. <br />
I will run 4 tomorrow and hope that on Friday and Saturday I will be able to get the other runs in before my last long run on Sunday. 11 miles! <br />
SNOW!! SNOW!! SNOW!! They say that it is coming. 15+ inches of snow! I will be excited to have that much snow but I don't want anymore snow days! <br />

I can't believe that I am in week 8! This training has gone by so fast! <br />
This is probably the hardest week for me. First I am not feeling 100%. I haven't been sleeping either, which means getting up early in the morning to run is that much harder. I am hoping that I sleep tonight so I can get my run in. It also gets harder to fit the longer runs in during the week. <br />
Last week was good expect I did miss one run. It was a 3 mile run. More on that to come, first let me recap the week.<br />

Another week done and I am feeling great! I went to a party last night and someone asked me if I was going to run the race(the Princess Half)...I was so surprised by the questions I didn't know what to say. I said of course I am going to run! I was training and I really don't think that it could be going much better. I am really dedicated this time around. I am getting to pumped to run at Disney. I am reading and listening to all these Marathon Weekend Race recaps and it gives me so much motivation. I am also pumped to go on vacation myself, which is something that I have never done before. Don't get me wrong I love my husband and kids but I am really looking forward to getting away by myself! (If you can call it going by myself. My parents will be in Disney at the same time but I am not staying with them.)<br />

It was so COLD!!! I asked my wonderful neighbor if I could use her treadmill. After I had Little I, I bought a treadmill but never really got back into running. The treadmill is just not fun! After the treadmill sat forever we decided that we would sell it! We did! Now that I am back into running would it be easier if I had treadmill...yes! But I don't think that I would really use it! I love to run outside and after running on the treadmill the other night I am 99% sure that I would not be running on the treadmill. It was my fastest 4 miles ever but it really felt like the longest!!! Next time it is that cold I would just put on some more layers!!<br />

Monday: 3.07 Today was supposed to be a nice easy recovery run. However it snowed today. We got out of school early which meant that I could run during the day...always a plus! It had been snowing for about 3 hours when I went out for my run. I came out into the family room all dressed in my running clothes and my husband looked at me and said you are nuts. But I said, what am I going to do, miss a run? I don't think so plus I was pumped to run in the snow! I have spikes that I attach to my shoes but they really didn't do much. There was about 2 fluffy inches of snow on the sidewalks. The edges of the road where slushy. I ran on the side of the road for most of the run but had to move to the sidewalk during parts. It was fun to be out in the snow, to feel the snow or little ice balls hit your face and I am sure that every car that went passed me gave me funny looks!! Even though my nice easy recovery run turned into a much harder run that I had thought...I am glad that I did it, even if people think I am nuts!!<br />

I have never carried my phone with me because I have an ipod touch and that is all I ever needed but in Disney I am going to want to take pictures so I want to carry my iphone. When I went to the running store I looked for an arm band...no good! It didn't get tight enough, it was hard to get the phone in and out and it seemed so annoying. I tried a pouch thing that I got for XMas...but it is no good. It was bouncing all over the place and at one put I was moving it and it fell right off! So I am doing some research to figure it out! I want to get it sooner than later because I need to first try it on a short run and then try it out on a long run. I am thinking that I am going to get an ifitness belt and a spibelt. I am off to do some more research on both so I can order one!</span><br />

I felt really good this week! All of my runs have been faster than when I was training for the Hartford Half! I am not really worried about time for the Princess Half because I want to just enjoy it! However for the other races I will be thinking PR!<br />

As for other races I have made some decisions about what I am going to do! <br />
The next race after the Princess that I have registered for is a race in memory of Sandy Hook! I am a teacher and Newtown not far my house at all! I have driven through Newtown many times. The race,<br />
<a href="http://www.hartfordmarathon.com/Events/Sandy_Hook_Run_for_the_Families.htm">Sandy Hook Run for the Families</a> will be in March. I don't like to run 5K's because I am slow and feel like I am coming in last, but the cause is way more important than worrying about my time! A group of teachers are going to walk/run this together! I am really looking forward to this race and with my times getting faster I might actually really try to run this race to see how fast I can run a 5k. <br />
Next up will be the <a href="http://www.cheshirehalfmarathon.org/">CheshireHalfMarathonand5K</a>. This race is right in the town that I live in and the course follows many of the roads that I run on. Sounds fun to me.<br />
The last race that I registered for is the <a href="http://uhctriplecrown.com/">UnitedHealthcare Triple Crown</a>. This means that I signed up for 3 half marathons all in RI: one in May, then July, and last in October. <br />
I have registered for 5 half marathons so far for 2013...only 2 more to goal to reach my goal. I think that this is very doable!! <br />
The next big decision that I have made is that I am not going to run a full marathon in 2013 but I am planning on doing the Disney Marathon in 2014. Maybe I will do the Goofy...if I am Goofy enough. <br />

But as my mom told me life is a bunch of interruptions!! So anyway I was not teaching today because I needed to take little A and I to the doctor for their 15 month and 4 year well visits. However, little A's appointment turned into a sick visit. The poor little girl is so congested. Her eyes are swollen and junk is coming out of them. It is not pink eye just a really bad cold. The doctor gave her some medication which I hope will make her feel better. So instead of taking the boys to school, taking A to the doctor and then dropping her off at daycare, so I could go for a nice mid-day run I brought my baby home. (This is when my brain started racing but I will get to that!) Which meant that I would be running later on in the day after I brought I to the doctor (I did AWESOME at the doctor and is now ready to go to Kindergarten...wow). I so didn't want to run. BUT I am so happy that I did. The training plan called for 3 and let me tell you I think those might have been the best 3 miles that I have run in a long time!<br />
<br />
So here is the part which is causing my brain to race...I am trying to figure out what races I want to run this year! I can't figure out if I want to run a marathon this year or not. I would really like to get more half marathons under my belt! I love the half marathon distance!! One of my goals is to run 7 half marathons so by the end of the year I would have 10 half marathons completed, which I think sounds cool!! I also think about running a marathon but then I think about maybe I should wait and have my next marathon be the Disney marathon, which would be totally awesome. I am running the Princess Half marathon in February and would LOVE to get my coast to coast medal which would mean I need to go to Disney Land over Labor Day but I am not sure I can swing that! I so want to do it all! So as my mind races about what races I want to run at least I am having good training runs which means great races to come in 2013!<br />

Tuesday: 3 miles at my parents house-First run of the year!!!<br />

Wednesday: Rest-Dave came home on Wednesday from the trip to Disney with his band so instead of heading out for a run we had some much needed family time!!!<br />
<br />
Thursday: Almost 3 miles- Ran with Sari at Hubard Park! It was cold but a fun run because we were able to talk!<br />
<br />
Friday: Little over 2 miles-Ran at Hubard Park but without Sari! Friday night little A was SO cranky, I was having to hold her most of the night until she went to bed. After putting her to bed my hip was KILLING me! I stretched it and took Advil but it was really bad!<br />
<br />
Saturday: 6 miles-I woke up and was thinking that I wouldn't run because my hip had hurt so bad last night. I took a shower and adjusted my running plan for the next week. When I got dressed I put a one of my running shirts. After being in my running shirt, looking at the temp. outside and the beautiful weather I decided that I wanted to run. I did and my hip felt really good!! Here I am after 6 miles:<br />

Looks like the weather this week will be good again! It will not be so cold this week and I don't see a chance for rain and snow to impact my running! <br />
Next weekend I think that I am going to register for some races...working on my goal to run 7 half marathons this year!<br />

I never really introduced myself so let me do that. I am 33 years old. I am a wife, married to my high school sweetheart. We met in 8th grade band. We have three kids. Two boys, J-5, I-4 and a sweet little girl you who is going to be 15 months who I will call A. I am a teacher by day, a mom and runner by night, well early morning for the running part. I try hard to get my butt out of bed in the morning so I can get my runs in before I start my busy day. If I am lazy I then get in my running at night. I started running the summer of 2012 after a LONG break from running. In 2005 I ran my first marathon and after that I said that I would never run again. After having three kids I needed to do something. I was doing Zumba and don't get me wrong I loved going to Zumba the problem was it only happened at certain times and those times I either couldn't make it or it was right in the middle of our family time. I needed something that I could do when ever so I started running again. It really started during our family vacation to Disney World (WE LOVE DISNEY!!!) I thought that if I signed up to run the Princess Half in Feb. of 2013 then I would be able to go to Disney again. When we returned home form Disney in early July I signed up, started running and haven't stopped since. I even ran the Hartford Half in Oct., which I had done in 2001. Now that I have been running for 6 months I remember why I was a runner before. Running helps me to be a better person.</div>

Now I have plans and goals all centered around running! I am happy to call myself a runner again!! <br /><div>

The weather is dry but COLD!!! I am really liking all the items that I got for running in the cold. So far it is keeping me warm.</div>

Goals 2013<br />
<br />
1. Keep Running: I would like to run 1,000 Miles this year! I would also like to run several half marathons. I would like to have 10 half marathons run by the end of 2013. That would mean I would need to run 7 this year!! I am already planning my race schedule.<br />
<br />
2. Blog at least once a week. During the Blog set the weekly running schedule and then do a weekly recap on what I did!<br />
<br />
3. Follow through with things. I often start things or have really great intentions but then I just don't do it! I don't know why but I am going to try to do a better job at following through on things. I hoping that this Blog will help with this!<br />
<br />
4. More play time with the kids. Both the weekdays and weekends get so consumed with getting stuff done that I don't take quality time to PLAY with my kids. <br />
<br />
5. Enjoy this year with my Husband...2013 marks being married 10 years. I want to make sure that we are getting quality time together this year. Here is to more date nights!!!<br />
<br />
6. BE HAPPY-I have so many reasons to be happy! If I believe it then I will be it!!<br />
